MMBay - We are no longer accepting Mentee Applications for the Class of 2028.
Applications for the Class of 2029 open in January 2026.
Next Year’s Applicant Qualifications
Be a current high school Freshman High School Class of 2029 (currently in 9th grade) with priority given to applicants living locally within San Francisco county and within Santa Clara county’s East Side Union High School & Campbell Union High School Districts
Demonstrate financial need Self-identify as low income (priority given to those who qualify for free or reduced lunch and other school benefits, or have a family income under the Very Low or Extremely low HUD income thresholds - San Francisco Income Thresholds | Santa Clara Income Thresholds)
Be determined to go to college Demonstrate perseverance and strong passion for attending a 4-year college, and maintain a 3.0 minimum GPA in high school

Applicants will be invited to a 30 minute interview with current volunteers and program leaders

If you graduate in 2029 or beyond, please fill out the Prospective Mentee Information form. We’ll keep your information on file, and reach out when applications for your class open.
San Francisco and San Jose sites are open to serve students.
If you’re interested in joining the Oakland site (high school graduating class of 2029+), we’d love to stay in touch! We don’t have a confirmed start date for the site yet, but we’ll keep your information on file, and reach out when the site opens.
